External users are users with accounts not associated with your organization's domain.

Yes. Creating an account is a key compontent of how Filot maintains the security and auditability of your business

No. Unlicensed users do not need to pay to use the gateway. Any files uploaded from their accounts will be counted towards the storage limit of the organization that invited them.

No. External users cannot create Hubs or invite other external users. Those permissions are automatically limited to licensed users.
